On November 30, 2008, we lost our esteemed friend and principal founder, Marty L. McMillan, in a tragic boating accident. Marty was the beloved husband of Xi Mei “Nancy,” a devoted father to Cody, a cherished brother to Matt, and a true friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His profound impact on our lives has left an indelible mark, making us better, stronger, and more knowledgeable individuals.

Marty’s journey in the security industry began in 1976 with a locksmithing apprenticeship in Kansas City. His passion and dedication led him to establish Intelli-Tec Security Services in 1999, which he built into one of the nation’s leading security integrators. Under his leadership, Intelli-Tec was twice recognized as a GE “Strategic Partner of the Year” and became a member of Security-Net, an international organization of leading, independently owned security system integrators.

Beyond his professional achievements, Marty was an avid outdoorsman who approached fishing, hunting, and martial arts with boundless passion and unwavering zeal. His adventurous spirit was evident in his love for offshore fishing, often venturing to areas less traveled in pursuit of yellowfin tuna. We miss him deeply but continue to honor his legacy by upholding the integrity, dedication, and pride that were the cornerstones of his career.
We will forever be grateful for the energy, commitment, and vision that Marty brought to Intelli-Tec, shaping the company into what it is today. His memory lives on in the values he instilled and the lives he touched.
